International Symposium on Archaeometry 2024
The International Symposium on Archaeometry (ISA), hosted by the University of Melbourne, will be May 27-31, 2024. Please put it in your calendar and start thinking about posters and papers!
The ISA integrates archaeology and natural sciences on all types of objects and materials related to human activity, focusing on developing and promoting scientific techniques to better understand cultural heritage materials, landscapes, and environments. Since the ISA biennial meetings began in the 1960s, this is the first time that the ISA will be held in Australia, as a partnership with the Australasian Research Center for Archaeological Sciences (ARCAS) and the University of Melbourne. The symposium is an opportunity to showcase your research to a broad audience, find out the latest archaeological science developments from national and international colleagues, and make new connections. |
ARCAS has an ongoing relationship with The Society for Archaeological Sciences (SAS), who will be providing sponsorship of the symposium. The conference organizers welcome additional partnerships and sponsorships for this fantastic event.
Society for AMerican Archaeology 2024
The CPA has successfully organized five sessions at the SAAs since our first back in 2018 - congrats to all of our previous organizers and participants!
For the 2024 SAAs in New Orleans, we're organizing a poster session to showcase advances made by our colleagues in relation to specific projects and/or methodological contributions. In other words, if you're interested in presenting on recent research in ceramic petrography then we'd love for you to join us! Please contact Andrea Torvinen ([email protected]) if you would like to participate in the session.
